There are three main rooms available to hire:
The Mayor's Parlour
The Mayor’s Parlour is on the first floor and is accessible by lift if needed. This traditionally decorated room is steeped in history with many interesting civic artefacts and paintings.
This room is available (by permission of The Mayor) for intimate weddings and functions and can accommodate up to 16 guests; there is a small private kitchen attached.
The Main Dance and Banqueting Hall
This room is described as "The finest public room in Somerset" and is the largest room to have permission for wedding ceremonies. This beautiful room is situated on the first floor (accessible by lift) and has walls lined with portraits; the room is lit by two crystal chandeliers and can hold up to 180 guests for catered events.
In addition to being fully equipped for the conduct of marriage ceremonies, the Town Hall recently refurbished it's kitchen with crockery and cutlery to cater for 180 people.
It is available to hire for dinners, dances, receptions, concerts, fairs & meetings.
The Parkes Room
This room is situated on the first floor and is accessible by lift should you need it. This is a very light and airy room with its floor level windows and feature "Venetian" window. The Parkes Room can accommodate up to 60 guests and is suitable for smaller weddings and receptions, meetings and events.
