Bishops Barn

 Bishops Barn Wells Recreation Ground

The Bishop's Barn is a mediaeval tithe barn once used by the Bishop to store harvest produce paid to him by way of tax. It now forms part of the charitable trust responsible for running the Recreation Ground currently administered by Mendip District Council.

The Barn provides basic accommodation for receptions and dances and whilst highly atmospheric cannot be heated.

Enquiries for viewing of the Barn or hiring it for an event are handled by the City Council's Town Hall Managers.
