Members

Wells City Council has a total of 16 elected Councillors who live or work in the community. These councillors are voted onto the council by the members of the local community, to represent its views.

Wells City Council (photo by Kevin Westwood).  The above picture was taken at the Mayor-making  ceremony on the evening of 29th June 2019 where the 646th Mayor of Wells, Councillor John Osman, was elected and his wife, Holly Osman, became the Mayoress.

 

Each Councillor serves on the council for four years.  To view their Register of Interests please click HERE.  Individual Councillors represent an area called a 'ward'.  Wells has three wards: St Thomas’, St Cuthbert’s and Central, marked on the map below.
