    The next deadline for Community Grants is September 2026. This comes with a maximum bid for £500.

    COMMUNITY GRANTS AWARDED MARCH 2026

    •    Bishops Palace - applying for a wheelchair accessible bench. Granted £190.00

    •    Citizens Advice – applying for funds to train a cohort of volunteers to assist with the completion of PIP disability benefit forms for residents in Wells. Granted £500 

    •    Orchard Vale Trust – An adult learning disability charity based in Wookey. Looking for funding to help purchase sports activity equipment. 21 residents who access the facility are from Wells. Granted £330

    •    Youth Adventure Trust – A charity that uses outdoor adventure to help vulnerable children (11 – 16 years old) build resilience, develop confidence and skills to handle life challenges. They have linked their help to pupils at the Wells Blue School. Granted £480.00

    COMMUNITY GRANTS AWARDED SEPTEMBER 2025
    •    
    Wells City Carnival – applying for funds to buy 20 body worn cameras and 2 megaphones to improve safety at November’s City Carnival. Granted £500 

    •    Wells Jazz and Blues Festival – Towards costs and help establish the Festival in its inaugural year. Granted £500 

    •    Wells Storehouse (Food Bank and Furniture Store) - for improvements to a proposed community room at the Old Pumphouse, to help fund the Food bank. Granted  £500
