A Wedding with Character

• Historic setting - Celebrate in a Grade II listed building in the heart of Wells.
• Three unique rooms - Choose from the grand Main Hall, light and airy Parkes Room or intimate Mayor's Parlour.
• Ceremony and reception - Hold your ceremony and continue your celebrations in the Main Hall.
• A central Wells location - The Town Hall sits in the historic Market Place, right in the heart of the city.

The Main Hall

• Up to 180 ceremony guests

Grand, historic and full of character, with portraits lining the walls and two crystal chandeliers.

Described as "The finest public room in Somerset" and is the largest room to have permission for wedding ceremonies. Available to hire for dinners, dances, receptions, concerts, fairs and meetings.

Situated on the first floor and accessible by lift.

The Parkes Room

• Up to 70 ceremony guests

Light and airy, with floor-level windows and a distinctive Venetian window.

Situated on the first floor and accessible by lift.

Ceremony £190

The Mayor's Parlour

• Up to 18 ceremony guests

An intimate, traditionally decorated room filled with historic civic artefacts and paintings.

Keep the Celebrations Going

Your wedding doesn't have to end when the ceremony does.

The Main Hall can also be hired for your wedding reception, giving you space for up to 120 guests, with a kitchen, separate bar area, music and dancing.

Outside caterers are welcome, and the Town Hall's premises licence covers music, dancing and alcohol.

Ceremony Pricing

Please note:

• The above prices are applicable for ceremony hire only. Ceremonies are limited to a 1.5-hour hire period.
• The Town Hall will be shut on all bank holidays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so no weddings can be booked on these days.
