Town Hall

On this page:

Wells Town Hall is situated in the Market Place and the building is very much a hub of the community covering an eclectic range of events and functions.

    The Perfect Venue

As well as being used for Council meetings, the Town Hall hosts many public and private occasions such as music concerts, balls and craft fayres. Weddings and civil partnerships regularly take place at the Town Hall in one of the available three rooms (Main Hall, Parkes Room or the Mayor's Parlour).

    Accessibility & Procedure

The Town Hall has full disabled access throughout the building including a Changing Places facility to the rear. There is parking reserved for the use of this facility immediately outside the Changing Places entrance.

We are a Plastic Free venue - Here at Town Hall, we are conscious of the global plastic problem. Single-use plastic creates a high carbon footprint when being created, and can take 100’s of years to break down into microplastics, polluting our soil and waterways. This is why we have removed single-use plastics from our ways of working, and have banned single-use plastic from events held within Town Hall. All recourses such as cups, cutlery and plates must be compostable or reusable.
