    Reducing Food Waste

    Reducing Food Waste

The new year is a great time to establish new habits! Over the next couple of weeks, we are going to be exploring ways to reduce food waste at home.

A great way to cut the amount of food we are throwing away is to store food more effectively. The fridge is a great place to start. Make sure your fridge is set between 0 and 5 degrees C. Food spoils faster in fridges that are set too high. Your freezer can also be a great asset to reduce waste. Batch-cooking and storing meals will help reduce fresh waste and help save money. Airtight containers will help food stay fresher for longer and beeswax wrap is a fabulous alternative to cling film!

Fermentation is also a fantastic way to store fresh food whilst creating a healthy snack! See more information below!
