Wells Scouts at Wells Environment Network Ecoweek

Wells Scouts at Wells Environment Network Ecoweek

On 11th October the Mayor, Councillor Jasmine Browne, was delighted to see Wells Scouts take part in the launch of Wells Environment Network (WEN) Ecoweek.

The event, “Floods, Food and Farms” saw a panel of six expert speakers sharing their compelling perspectives on today’s most pressing environmental challenges such as adapting to and mitigating flood risks and preserving biodiversity.
After the presentations, the Scouts joined in a Q&A session followed by lively discussion of the evenings’ themes.

The Mayor has chosen the 5th/7th Wells Scout Group as her Charity this year to support the much-needed refurbishment of their Wells Scout Hut and facilities to benefit more young people in our City.
